How do I get a library card?
A valid form of photo ID with proof of current address is required to get a library card.
How do I put something on hold?
You can put something on hold through the online catalog or the Cafe Libraries app. You can also call the library and we can do it for you over the phone.
How do I renew an item?
Most items can be renewed up to three times, as long as they are not on hold for another patron. You can check your account online or give us a call for help.
How do I return an item?
You can return items inside the library or through our drive-thru book drop (open 24/7). You can also return at any public library in Jefferson or Waukesha county and they will be returned to us.
How do I reserve a meeting room?
We have a few different meeting rooms that are available for reservations. You can visit our Meeting Rooms webpage for details or call (920) 545-2321.
How do I register for a program?
Most of our programs do not require registration, but if one does you can register through our online events calendar or by calling (920) 545-2331.
How do I join a book club?
We have several book clubs, and new members are always welcome! All you need to do is show up. Visit our Book Club page.
How do I request the library purchase an item?
By filling out a Purchase Request Form (a paper version of this form is available at the library).
How do I use a computer at the library?
You can log in to our computers using your library card or by asking for a guest pass at the Reference Desk on the second floor.
How do I print at the library?
Printing is $0.20/page for black and white; $0.50/page for color. We only accept cash for printing. See our Computers & Printing page for more details.
How do I send a fax at the library?
Unfortunately, the library does not offer faxing services.
How do I find old articles from the Watertown Daily Times?
We have microfilm reels of the Watertown Daily Times from the early 1900’s, as well as a few other local newspapers. Call (920) 545-2321 or ask at the Reference Desk on the second floor for details.
How do I get digital books from the library?
Digital ebooks, audiobooks and magazines are available for check out with your library card through Libby. You can either download the app or visit the Libby website. If you need in-person help, stop by the Reference Desk on the second floor.
