2011 Friends’ Annual Fall Used Book Sale
The Friends group has planned the annual used book sale to be held on September 14 - 17, 2011.

This is an excellent time to purchase books written by your favorite author or to enjoy a new author for a very reasonable cost. Hard covered/trade books are sold for $1 and paperback books are sold for 50 cents. There are fiction & non-fiction materials along with videos, CDs, and magazines.
There is also a large selection of children's books which always sell early and fast.
Remember the sale is open to the general public Thursday - Saturday.

BOOKSALE DATES AND TIMES:

Wednesday, September 14, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Friends' members only)

Thursday, September 15, 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Friday, September 16, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Saturday, September 17, 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m

.

Saturday morning is the great “Bag Sale”. You can fill a paper grocery bag, reusable grocery bag or a "Friends" cloth book bag with books for the low, low price of $3. If you don't have a "Friends" cloth book bag, pick one up at the library or at the sale for $12 or purchase two for $20.

New for this year:

Library staff have been busy weeding the reference and non-fiction collections at the library. Due to a large supply of books, shoppers can take advantage of a $3 “Bag Sale” for non-fiction and reference books throughout the sale. This does not include specially priced books.

Volunteers are always needed at the book sale whether it is getting the books out for the sale, checking out purchases or helping on Saturday to 're-shelve', your assistance will be greatly appreciated. Please call Bill Jannke at 261-1176 or Diane Fontaine at 261-0089.

The Friends group will be happy to accept your book donations for the sale. Donated books and magazines should be new, like new or gently used. If items are in poor condition, please dispose of them at home. We prefer you do not donate textbooks, medical or reference books, or encyclopedia sets more than 5 years old. Donated books should be placed in the designated box inside the lobby of the library. If you put donated items in the outside book drops, please put a note on them so library staff know they are donations.
